Hi,
i'm a UBCD novice.
i cannot obtain access to a HDD western digital : disk controller failure.
In the UCBD menu MBR tool V2 , there are several choices:
1) perform automatic backup of all MBRs to disk
4)work with a MBR
5)work with a track0
what do you advise me to do to repair the HDD ?
thank you in advance

Re: Disk controller failure
A disk controller failure usually indicates that UBCD boot disk image that is being used doesn't have a driver for the interface controller which the HDD is connected to. You can try downloading the newest version from the manufacturer and use that.

If that doesn't help, provide some more information such as PC manufacturer/model and HDD model and any other information like what you are trying to do and what is wrong.

Hi,
I have 2 similar IDE Western digital hard drives. one is recognized without problem in a PC, the other one is recognized at the bios level but not at the explorer level. The diagnostic indicates : initdisk: error reading partition table drive 00h, sector 0 . there is a continuous tactactac when it begins so i give up the repairing.
thank you for your answer.
