Hi
I would like to donate new version of DIMM_ID. I no longer develop this now as we use WinPE not DOS. It supports many more h/w platforms up to ICH10. I will leave it on mediafire at

http://www.mediafire.com/?qitmzlljztz

Please include the txt file which includes licensing and is especially for UBCD

Thanks for sharing! Just to clarify, is this version of DIMM_ID compatible with newer OS versions like Windows 10/11, or is it mainly for older setups? Also, does the Mediafire link include just the executable, or is there any documentation/source code available too?

Hi,

Thank you for sharing this tool. I'm just discovering DIMM_ID and it seems very useful for hardware diagnostics. I have a question for those who use it regularly: have you found a modern alternative that works well for memory identification on recent systems?

I'm trying to create a diagnostic USB drive and I'm looking for reliable tools to identify components across different generations of machines. If DIMM_ID still works correctly via a bootable DOS session on recent hardware, I would be happy to include it in my collection.

For those looking to use this tool, I've found it integrates well with FreeDOS or even in a DOS session emulated under Ultimate Boot CD. Has anyone tested its compatibility with Intel 500/600/700 series or recent AMD motherboards?

By the way, I tried accessing the Mediafire link shared in the first post, but it seems it no longer works. Does anyone know where I could find a copy of the software today?

Thanks in advance for your feedback! :)
