no mainmenu when bootup

i burned the image on a disc, the files are there, i checked
the CD is bootable, i checked that aswell
my problem is that i get an menu in kinda dos, not the main menu
is this a wrong setting in my bios???:S:S:S:S:S:S
is that because i need to tell it to run by dos codes??
any help what so ever is welcome-thanks-
