question concerning raid configurations..

So I am going to be trying my hand at building my own pc for the first time..I expect the parts to arrive on friday. I have been reading many tutorials and I foresee one problem I am going to have.

I have ordered 2 hd's with the intent of setting them up in a raid-o configuration (vista is going to be my OS). Now every how-to guide on setting up a raid says that to install them on windows I will need the raid driver which usually comes on a floppy disk. My issue here is that I did not order a floppy drive with my computer.

I have noticed that one of the applications in the UBCD is a program that lets you access/create floppy files through a ""virtual floppy drive". My question is, is this something I will be able to use when setting up my raid config? If so, how will i got about using the app to access the raid drivers on the floppy.

Thanks alot.

No, you can't use memdisk (the virtual floppy emulator) for this purpose.

Your best bet is to find an app that will allow you to slipstream the driver onto the Vista CD itself.

I have seen tons of apps that does it for Win2K/XP, but Vista being so new, I haven't seen any for it yet.
