My PC motherboard died and I moved the HD to another (DELL) computer hoping to be able to access my files. Alas, the DELL refuses to boot from the Gateway HD. I used UBCD and ran parted magic which read the HD with no problems. I want to copy the files to a USB but can't.
Can anyone help?

Why not? When you plug in an external USB drive, Parted Magic should automatically mount the drive and show the drive icon on the desktop.

Thanks Victor, it does. I can see the drive and all the contents - in fact I can see the internal drive and an external drive that I have connected. What I can't do is to move them from my internal drive to a USB or to my other mounted and visible drive.
Has to be a way.

Isn't that just a matter of opening up the two drives in separate windows, then perform a drag-and-drop
