Ok folks - Mr Thick here I feel!
I have burned a coupla CD's (the 403 iso) as a standby but having now inspected contents am puzzled. If I have to resort to the CD - what makes it bootable?
Back in old days if I had my old DOS disks then IIRC good ol' command.com was there and got things to C:\ prompt - after which I could proceed.
I see the autorun.inf points to the index.html within the website folder - well that ain't a boot file, so ........ with all other files ''tucked away'' - how is the CD read to achieve a boot?
I notice too in the boot folder - a collection of cgz and gz files plus others with no extension. I am 'no comprendo'.
So - el thicko here is just not understanding how this CD actually works. A brief run-down would be much appreciated - I looked in tutorials and other pages and could not find the answers I am looking for ....... or missed them!
How the CD boots?
