mkisofs -J -l -r -v -V ubcd -o test.iso /ubcd/
It runs to the end ok. But this is what comes up
mkisofs: permission denied, unable to open dise image file
So what have I left out ?

Probably another program uses the iso image (a virtual machine maybe). Close that program and try it again.

I'am using Vista.
I used this: UBCD410\tools\ubcd2iso\ubcd2iso.bat
This came up
UBCD2ISO: Creat bootable UBCDISO image
Params : -Y : no pause <for batch-mode>
Usage : UBCD2ISO <UBCD-path> < output-image> [params]
Exaple: UBCD2ISO c:\ubcd c:\ubcd40.iso <UBCD extacted in dir 'c:\ubcd'
,ISO image written to 'c:\ubcd40./iso'
Reguired :w2k/xp/w2k3 and UBCD extracted to local storage
What am I doing wrong
