Expected Final release date.
What is the expected final release date for version 5? When will it be posted on the main Ultimate Bootcd website for download?

Final release of version 5?
When will version 5 no longer be a beta?
Probably there will be one (or 2) beta(s), before the final release.
i think Victor is waiting untill the as702 releases the revision 1.33 of the freedos image (better NTFS support):

The antivirus modules also need an update. It will probably updated next week or the week after it.
I updated the CPUstress image this week so USB keyboards work now.

If you have time you can search if there are updates for some programs again so Victor doesn't have to check them all himself.
Victor also didn't have much time lately. But I think he is working on UBCD since this week again.
And the beta of UBCD doesn't mean that is it full of bugs like some other software, because UBCD consists of stable releases of all (most) programs. Instead of UBCD50beta5, the name could also be UBCD505 if you like that better. It's just a number

I totally agree. UBCD should always be considered a work-in-progress. An official release just reflects my view that a particular build is less buggy than the others and therefore is suitable for public consumption. And the beta of UBCD doesn't mean that is it full of bugs like some other software, because UBCD consists of stable releases of all (most) programs. I have started working on UBCD again, so expect another beta release soon (with pmagic 3.2 and other stuff that I am still going through).
Great tool! Been using the last stable version (4.1.1) for almost 2 years. Any schedule update for when version 5.0 will be released as a stable non-beta version?
If not any time soon, what would be the 5.0 beta version that users consider stable enough to recommend using instead of the older 4.1.1 version?
Thanks.
