keyboard problems
hey im new to this forum and a new user of this cd..
i burned the iso file to a cd and everything works fine
i boot the cd and it loads to the main page where i can select which tools i would like to use but the keyboard does not work (i do have a usb keyboard)
i have looked in the FAQ's and i read the part about the keyboard and such. i have searched everywhere in my bios about this matter and there does not seem to have an appropriate selection to enable USB Legacy support? nor does the bios have anything referring to USB Keyboards. although it does have an option which reads "USB Controller" and that is enabled.
Q) Is there anyway i can get my usb keyboard to work with this cd? i do not have a ps2 keyboard.. so does that mean i cant use this cd at all just because my keyboard is usb?
any replies would be a great help.. thank you.

Most USB keyboards have a PS2 converter that is included with the keyboard, if you have that converter you can try it..
As far as the BIOS entry, I've seen the Legacy setting on just about all the systems I've looked at, but I haven't checked out many new systems for this setting.. What kind of mother board do you have?

I do not have a USB 2 PS2 Converter but i will go out and buy one, or just steal 1 from my college...The Piney wrote:Most USB keyboards have a PS2 converter that is included with the keyboard, if you have that converter you can try it..

Could be due to a bug in Dell's latest BIOSes:

Hmm I've been told several times that USB->PS2 adapters could work only with mice ... never could test myself to be sure, though.

I have 2 Microsfoft keyboards that are USB and they both came with the adapters.
This is my office keyboard:

omg before i was talking about getting USB to PS2 adapters i realised that i do not have PS2 ports on my motherboard!!!!!!!!!! although now i have 2 usb to ps2 adapters which my teacher at my college gave to me and which are now useless to me. so i guess i wont be using the cd on this system which sucks.
anywayz maybe 1 day ill call dell and ask if it is possible to update my bios to 1 with usb legacy support.
thanks anyway guys
